Cosmetic Medicine

At Synergy Primary Care and Wellness, we offer a range of cosmetic medical services to help you look your best at any stage of your life. Our goal is that you should look and feel your very best.

Microneedling

One of our most popular aesthetic services is microneedling, a painless skincare procedure aimed to stimulate collagen production. Microneedling consists of applying tiny needles on to the requested area and creating a series of little pricks on your skin. These pricks help to plump and smooth out your skin, and encourages the production of collagen, essential to skin elasticity as well as keeping it firm and youthful.

At Synergy Primary Care and Wellness, we combine microneedling with radiofrequency, which delivers energy in the form of heat deep into your skin, stimulating collagen production better than with the traditional microneedling procedure. This enables us to provide faster and more effective results, and helps the microneedling procedure last longer.

What is microneedling typically used for?

Microneedling works for a wide range of skin types and aesthetic needs. They help with:

  • Wrinkles and reversing the effects of aging on skin
  • Acne scars
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Shrinking large pores
  • Inconsistent skin texture

Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Laser skin rejuvenation uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat minor to moderate skin irregularities, including wrinkles, blemishes, discoloration and acne scars. IPL uses a broad spectrum of light and directs it to the irregular skin, removing the surface of the targeted area layer by layer. The Laser Skin Rejuvenation Procedure is also referred to as laser abrasion or a laser peel, and can show results as quickly as the first treatment.

What is Laser Skin Rejuvenation typically used for?

Laser skin rejuvenation is an extremely safe and effective treatment for:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Minor skin discolorations
  • Mild to moderate acne scarring
  • Other mild scars

BOTOX for Cosmetic Use

BOTOX is one of the most frequently used cosmetic medical procedures for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles in the skin, while also helping to soften and relax skin that has grown taunt by paralyzing the underlying muscle. BOTOX is typically applied to the forehead or wrinkles around the eyes and mouth, and has been shown to be a safe and effective treatment with few side effects or downsides. BOTOX can take a little time to set in, but typically last from three to six months with only minor upkeep and maintenance. BOTOX is not permanent, but can significantly reduce the presence of current wrinkles, while also reducing the chances of developing further lines and wrinkles in your skin.

What is BOTOX typically used for?

BOTOX is a relatively safe, naturally occurring treatment that has a wide variety of applications. In cosmetic medicine, BOTOX is most commonly used to treat:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Age lines on the face and forehead
  • Wrinkles around the eyes or lips, like Crow’s Feet or Laugh lines
  • Other wrinkles where appropriate

Anti-Wrinkle Fillers

Fillers is a term used to describe a wide range of medical products designed to soften and smooth out wrinkles. By ‘filling in’ the wrinkle with an injectable like collagen, you can help reduce or entirely remove a wrinkle line. Filler can also work to help add dimension and plumpness to specific areas, like cheeks and lips, to help counter act the effect of aging on the skin.

Fillers come in both biological and synthetic compounds, and each has their benefits, such as strength and duration of effectiveness. Our medical team will suggest which filler should be used and will provide follow up treatment and maintenance to the area to make sure you get as much time and benefit from your cosmetic procedure as possible.

PDO Thread Lift

The PDO Thread Lift is a procedure that lifts and tightens skin that has encountered sagging skin tissue. At Synergy Primary Care & Wellness, you can get this procedure done on your face or neck using threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO). When the threads interact with the skin, it helps lift the skin, renews cell through collagen simulation to help make your skin smooth, and tightens the skin by contracting fat tissue.

Following the procedure, it will take roughly 6 months for the threads to disappear by way of hydrolysis. The lifted facial contours will remain for roughly 5 months, due to cellular rejuvenation effects. When your skin creates new collagen and blood vessels to help with microcirculation, the facial slimming effect will occur with assistance from the threads contracting fat tissue.
